Jonathan has been an endurance athlete for over 20 years. Through his wide variety of experiences, he has gathered knowledge about optimal techniques for training and racing in endurance sports. He found his passion for running at an early age and went on to run for Western Colorado University, a top Division II distance program. Jonathan then turned his focus to cycling and raced for 7 years, both domestically and internationally. He began as a top amateur cyclist riding for Einsteins Bagels Elite Team and then raced 3 years with BMC Professional Cycling Team. He raced many world class races during his time with BMC, including Tour of California, Tour of Utah, Criterium International, Tour of Switzerland, and representing the USA at the Olympic Test Event in Beijing, China. After his cycling career, he has continued to compete in running and triathlon, with highlights of placing 12th overall at the 2012 Los Angeles Marathon 2:32 and 10 overall at Ironman Branson 70.3

Jonathan began his professional coaching career as an endurance and strength coach in 2010 working for Athletic Improvement Center in Fort Collins, CO.  Jonathan has had the opportunity to work alongside physical therapists and strength coaches to further gain knowledge and help athletes achieve their best in their desired sport while staying strong and pain-free. He believes that a multi-faceted approach to training is the best way to achieve the desired level of physical conditioning and sport performance. He designs workouts to include components of strength, stability, flexibility, and endurance to work towards targeted goals.

When beginning your personal training program, we start with an intial consultation. In this consultation we discuss your short term and long term goals, expectations, overview of program analysis with tracking and progress and the reasoning behind the key exercises.
